Get a Library Card

If you are a current resident of South Windham, you can sign up for a library card with us. All you need to provide is a valid photo ID with your current address. If you have just moved to town and don’t have an updated photo ID, you may also bring in a piece of mail with your current South Windham address on it.

Your GSML card gives you access to:

  • Online resources: Hoopla and Palace Project Apps to access ebooks and audiobooks; CT State Library’s Research Database; the ability to place holds on physical items at GSML and other libraries through interlibrary loan
  • Physical resources: Borrow books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, museum and park passes, kits, board games, and CDs
  • You can also use your GSML card at any public library in CT

All ages are eligible to get their own library card. Please see staff or request a library card online if you are interested in more information or would like to sign up for a card.

If you live in another CT town, you can use your library card here as well! It just has to be up-to-date.

Our Internet Access Policy can be found here.
