Andrea Holbrook – Director

Andrea came to GSML after working many years in education.  She earned her Bachelor’s in English at Eastern Connecticut State University and her Masters Degree in Education from Sacred Heart University.  She has a genuine love for literature of all kinds and believes strongly in serving the community.  She welcomes everyone to come enjoy what the Guilford Smith Memorial Library has to offer and become a part of what makes it so special!

Sara Boyd – Childrens’ Librarian

Sarah joined the Guilford Smith Memorial Libary staff after teaching first grade for ten years in Canterbury.  As a life-long lover of books, she brings this love and enthusiasm for reading to her position at the library.  Helping patrons find information or the perfect book is something Sarah takes great pride in.  Sarah enjoys doing crafts and being creative, and has had fun planning and implementing programs for teens and younger children.

Anita McMahon-Library Assistant

Anita first came to the Guilford Smith Memorial Library as a young girl with her family.  As she grew older, the library was fortunate to have her as a volunteer.  Recognizing her skills and talents, as soon as we were able to, we put Anita on staff.  She is presently studying Library Technology at Three Rivers Community College and serving our patrons as a library assistant bringing her knowledge, her desire to learn and share to all of us.
