Get a Library Card

If you are a current resident of South Windham, you can sign up for a library card with us. All you need to provide is a valid photo ID with your current address. If you have just moved to town and don’t have an updated photo ID, you may also bring in a piece of mail with your current South Windham address on it.

You can also apply for a card using our online form. At your next visit, you will need to provide a valid photo ID in order to receive the physical copy of your card:

Your GSML card gives you access to:

  • Online resources: Hoopla and Palace Project Apps to access ebooks and audiobooks; CT State Library’s Research Database; the ability to place holds on physical items at GSML and other libraries through interlibrary loan
  • Physical resources: Borrow books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, museum and park passes, kits, board games, and CDs
  • You can also use your GSML card at any public library in CT

All ages are eligible to get their own library card. Please see staff if you are interested in more information or would like to sign up for a card.
